If you celebrate it, Happy Easter! If not, we hope you at least have a good long weekend, or maybe just relax more than usual. Whatever you do, we hope video games will factor into your plans. This week we received a new trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, which introduces us to protagonist Shez. Nintendo had to change automatic online renewals following a government review. And it looks like Bandai Namco is working on a remaster of a Nintendo action title.
While we’re at it, why not go vote for what you think is the best generation of Nintendo consoles! Some of us have had their say, and now it’s up to you to tell us who’s right or wrong.
Now is the time to relax and discuss our weekend game plans. a few mMembers of the Nintendo Life team have done so below, so feel free to read our entries and then join yours via our comments section. Enjoy!

The list of games I would like to play this weekend is long. As I mentioned earlier in the week, I have Dragon Quest VIII ready and waiting to be onboarded. I’ve also taken delivery of Xenoblade Chronicles X — I want to download the improved texture pack from the Wii U eShop before it’s gone! I also have other chores to do on Wii U. I’m going to transfer my external hard drive to a much larger SSD than I have, although that means storing everything already there safely elsewhere before the Wii U formats it, which will take some time. Also, I don’t have internet at home at the moment, which complicates things when I want to download a whole bunch of GB.
What I’ll probably end up doing is downloading the small Nintendo Switch Online update and diving into Mario Golf. It’s one of my favorite N64 games, an incredibly relaxing sports game with personality. It’s a shame that I can’t play as a GBC Mario Golf character, but I will enjoy a quick round of 9 holes over the weekend. Good evening friends !

Aside from a mini review, on Switch I’ll probably spend the most time on Triangle Strategy; it’s a long game! I’ve enjoyed it a lot so far, and it’s perfect for small 30-minute sessions to take on a battle or just follow the story.
Somewhere else my attention is split between LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and MLB The Show 22, the latter definitely got me hooked.

Kirby, Kirby and more Kirby. My Switch picks are getting a little thin, so after beating Kirby and the Forgotten Land, I think I’ll move on to my second Kirby game. A few weeks ago, a couple of lovely readers — Munchlax and YoshiFlutterJump — made some fantastic suggestions on what Kirby game I should play after Forgotten Land. And, after thinking about it, I’m going to give Kirby Super Star a whirl! Oh, which reminds me – you should totally vote for the SNES in the best Nintendo console generation poll. Just do it.
In reality, this weekend looks like a heavy PS5. I play this little game called Final Fantasy XIV – you know, the one with the free trial up to level 60? (No, I’m not sorry.) The last major story patch for Endwalker dropped Tuesday, and my word, the new Alliance Raid is amazing. I have almost finished all the mechanics. Almost. In addition to games, I will also try to go out to the beach this weekend. I hope the weather is nice where you are too!

As everyone celebrated the 30th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past in the United States, I thought it was high time to give the game another chance. haven’t last played it, and oddly enough, this will be the first time I’ve played it on the SNES (technically on the Switch); I’ve only played it on the GBA before, and it’ll be weird not hearing Link shout “hyah!” every time he raises his sword.
Otherwise, it’s going to be a quiet period for me this weekend in terms of games; My wife and I are celebrating our first wedding anniversary on the 16th, so it’s not really going to look good if I’m glued to a game all the time!

It’s Easter this weekend, but my COVID test will determine if I’m hanging out with my family or just staying indoors playing video games. We just got an Xbox Series X, which means ELDEN RIIIING, but we also need to finish Skyward Sword (which still works) and I’d like to get into something farmer like My Time At Portia, or something murderous , such as AI: The Somnium Files. If only there was something farmer AND killer!

Great week for the eShop with two games that took a while to arrive but don’t disappoint: Formula Retro Racing and Bush Hockey League! Speaking of waiting, Nobody Saves The World turns out to be another hit from Drinkbox Studios!
The game of the week is a bit of a cheat this time since there are hundreds of them: The A500 Mini has arrived and has taken up residence under the TV. This version of me you know today belongs largely to the Commodore Amiga: the digital artist who started pixelating things in Deluxe Paint III. The audio producer who started making noise pollution in ProTracker. And of course the biggest Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe player in the known universe. Ice cream, I scream!
As always, thanks for reading! Be sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend game plans!
