Report
Romain Grosjean was trending green in the dying seconds of the final round. He then scaled the wall and found the tire barrier. He was already second on the board, but his time was overturned after the crash.
There are 2 seconds left on the clock with the red flag unfurled for the crash. Indycar then announced that everyone would get one more fastest lap in the session as they didn’t get the full 6 minutes of the session. The drivers were very confused with the failure.
Felix Rosenqvist and Alexander Rossi were the only two drivers to take advantage of the extra time in qualifying. Both failed to improve their time.
Colton Herta will start from pole position with 108.480
