Activision Blizzard is in the middle of a controversy right now. The company has come under fire with lawsuits alleging workplace discrimination and sexual harassment, resulting in the firing or resignation of some key Activision Blizzard employees. Considering this, some Amouranth fans have questioned his decision to invest such a large amount of money in the video game publisher.

Amouranth provided more serious responses to some fans, explaining that she was looking to capitalize on the “buyout gap”, but that even if Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard did not happen, the purchase of 24 000 shares at $79.34 was not a bad price. After all, even though Activision Blizzard isn’t in a good position right now, the company still has a major presence in the gaming industry and some of the most popular IPs in the world like Call of Duty, Diablo, World of Warcraftand others.

Regardless of whether Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard goes through, the company will almost certainly bounce back from a financial standpoint thanks to the popularity of its franchises alone. Call of Duty is consistently the best-selling game each year and a new Call of Duty is expected to drop in 2022. Not only that, but Activision Blizzard has some other big new games on the horizon, like Monitor 2, Diablo Immortaland Diablo 4. It’s not unreasonable to think that Activision Blizzard’s stock price could return to the highs it had seen before the lawsuits. In fact, it’s already up to $79.72 at the time of this writing, 38 cents more than when Amouranth made his purchase.
