Microsoft usually kicks off each month by revealing the new Xbox Game Pass games slated for release in the next two weeks, but it broke new Xbox Game Pass games for April 2022. Perhaps not wanting to make Game Pass announcements on April Fool’s Day, Microsoft didn’t yet revealed all new games will be coming to Xbox Game Pass in April and, at this point, likely won’t make the announcement until next week.
However, it’s possible that some of the new April 2022 Xbox Game Pass games have leaked online. The Microsoft Store’s Xbox Game Pass Deals page recently listed eight games that aren’t currently available on the service; the last time this happened was with various Bethesda games that actually jumped to Game Pass. It’s possible that these games were leaked for the April 2022 lineup. It’s also possible that they’ll come to Game Pass at a later date, or may not come to the service at all, so fans should keep that in mind.
The eight Xbox Game Pass games that recently leaked are Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, Diablo 2: Risen, Metal Gear Rising: Revenge, Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeros, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Painand Metal Gear Survive. Fans should definitely take this lineup with a grain of salt, but if it’s accurate, it looks like Xbox Game Pass is about to get some older, but still very popular games.
Leaked Xbox Game Pass games
- Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
- Diablo 2: Risen
- Metal Gear Rising: Revenge
- Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeros
- Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain
- Metal Gear Survive
The Activision-Published Call of Duty games and Diablo 2: Risen wouldn’t be at all surprising to see on Xbox Game Pass at some point. After all, Microsoft is acquiring Activision Blizzard, in which case it will own both franchises. Just as Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda saw Bethesda’s games come to Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision will also see the company add that company’s games to the subscription service.
The only question is when this can happen. You’d think Microsoft would wait for the Activision acquisition before adding its games to Game Pass, but since these are only four titles and not the entire Activision Xbox library, a deal may have been struck. to get games on the service. in advance. Again, it’s possible that these listings are wrong, so Xbox Game Pass subscribers will very well have to wait for Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision before they can get their hands on one.
If these leaked games relate to the April 2022 lineup, fans should find more information early next week. They shouldn’t be holding their breath, but it will certainly be interesting to see if any of these titles are indeed confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in the near future.
